Drangavík is a small fjord north of Eyvindarfjörður and south of Bjarnafjörður. It was previously inhabited, and the only farm was abandoned in 1947, but townhouses still stand there but have collapsed. At the eastern side of the bay, the famous Drangaskörð. They are magnificent and worth a visit.
Drangar is north of Drangaskörð. There was permanent residence there until 1966 and the family who last lived in Dranga still go there over summertime. Húsá falls into the sea, on which there is a footbridge. West of the river is Laugamýri where hot water can be found.
At Drangar there is a camping site and a numerous of hiking trails.
Passengers will go ashore in a dinghy.

Clothing
It is our recommendation that people bring appropriate clothing according to the weather forecast. However, weather conditions can change rapidly and it is therefore necessary to bring warm clothes. It is good to have change of clothes, waterproof clothes and appropriate footwear. In Iceland, the weather is often unpredictable and clothing is therefore an important part of trips to Hornstrandir.
Epidemiology
Passengers are asked to consider their own disease control and follow the disease control rules that apply in the community. The government's recommendations on masking and disinfection apply on board in order to reduce the risk of infection and protect other passengers. Respect the rules, take care of your own hygiene and use masks. Stay safe.
